“My inspiration comes from (…) my deep appreciation of nature and wildlife,”

Imogen Clark is a self-trained artist with a unique ability to discover interesting and original artforms. Founding Dusty Souls Art in 2012, she has deviated from her graphite drawing background to include various other mediums and arts.

Imogen, hailing from Whitley Bay, has loved art and the natural world from being a child. After starting her adult life, she decided to return to those roots to become a professional artist, inspired by her home town of Whitley Bay – surrounded by an abundance of inspiration, materials and opportunity.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Imogen’s art practice concentrates on creating beautiful acrylic wildlife paintings, feather art and handmade jewellery. She also has a ‘home’ in Tynemouth Market, where her amazing artworks have been snapped up by locals and visitors for many years!

Imogen is also one of the leading feather artists in the UK, mastering the small details skills of working in miniature to add even more variety to her already amazing range of artwork.

Although, she is known mostly for her feather work, she produces a selection of different styles of contemporary large wildlife canvases. Incorporating interesting patterns, optical art and surfaces into her intricate wildlife art.

Imogen sells and exhibits locally, nationally and internationally. She is resident at Tynemouth Market as well as attending various art and country fairs during the summer.  She is also a member of Network Artists North East and exhibits in local galleries and art events and exhibitions across the country – so we are thrilled to have her here at Land of Oak & Iron where you can see her larger wildlife artworks first hand in this solo exhibition.

Our Inside Out Gallery at Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre has on display a selection of her larger acrylic paintings, some gold-foiled by hand that look particularly remarkable in the autumn sunlight.

Every one of the artworks we have displayed at the Heritage Centre is available to purchase, and include certificates of authenticity to make sure you know you have a Dusty Souls Art original.

If you would like to purchase a piece, please approach a member of our team for more information.
