Our unique and beautiful Heritage Centre is available for hire. It has previously been hired for business meeting, social events, book launches and the like. It is a license for selling alcohol. Indoor and outdoor spaces are available, please look through the tabs above to see the sizes and capacities of the spaces.

 Packages
  Group numbers Delegate numbers must be confirmed no later than 5 working days before the date of the booking. This number then becomes the minimum amount chargeable. Increases in delegate numbers cannot be guaranteed without at least 5 days’ notice. Every effort will be made to meet your precise requirements in all circumstances.   
Sign In    For health and safety purposes, all guests are expected to sign in on a collective group sign-in sheet, which will be available at the entrance to the room you have booked for. A group contact number also needs to be filled on this sheet. 
Access & Times  The Heritage & Events Space is available from 08.00-17.00 Monday to Friday & 08.00-11.00, 15.00-17.00 Saturday & Sunday. The Map Room is available from 08:00-17:00 Monday to Sunday. The Whole Centre is available from 17:30-22:00 Monday to Sunday. The Meadows are available from 08:00-22.00 Monday to Sunday. Attendees arriving before their booked start time cannot be guaranteed immediate access. Over running a room booking by 15 minutes or more will be charged for the next hour.
Cancellation Any booking cancelled within 48 (working) hours or less of the hire date will be charged in full for the total booking value including room hire, equipment and any catering.  Any booking cancelled within 5 working days or less will incur a 100% cancellation charge of the total booking value and 50% of the total catering cost.                        
The Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre reserve the right to cancel meetings if there are circumstances beyond our reasonable control. 
Catering All catering must be delivered by our onsite café.  External caterers are not permitted; however, you are entitled to a 10% off offer in the café.
 
Damages All breakages, spillages or damage must be reported to a member of staff prior to leaving and the room must be left as it was found, failure to do so may incur charges.   
Layouts Requests for different room layouts must be made at the time of booking. Rearrangement of furniture cannot be guaranteed on the day of hire without prior notice.    
No Show In the event a customer does not arrive during the first hour of the room booking and gives no prior notice of late arrival, we reserve the right to cancel the booking without refund.   
Parking Parking is provided on a first come first served basis. The Land of Oak & Iron accepts no responsibility for damage to or loss of vehicles or their contents whilst on the premises.    
Payment Room hire payment is required by cheque, bank transfer or card payment made onsite or over the phone within 48 hours. We do not accept cash payments. Payment for any catering should be made 5 days before the hire date.  
Provisional Bookings A provisional booking will be held for 48 hours. If the booking is not confirmed and the room booking fee is not paid within this time, then it will be cancelled without prior notice.    
Safety All customers must observe all safety and fire procedures. The hirer is responsible for the safety, security and conduct of their guests on our premises.  
Security The Land of Oak & Iron accepts no liability for unattended personal belongings or equipment. Unclaimed items will be moved to our on-site lost property available for collection.   
Smoking No smoking is permitted within the Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre. 


Face CoveringsFace masks or other recognised face coverings must be worn at all times when inside the building, with the only exception being when seated. Any guests not wearing a face covering will be denied entrance, unless are exempt from doing so. Face masks are available for purchase in our shop. These terms are subject to national COVID guidelines and restrictions.
Hand SanitiserAll guests are required to make use of on-site hand sanitiser areas, for the health and safety of staff and other visitors. We have the right to refuse entry to anyone not adhering to these rules.
