Howl-O-Ween is back at the Heritage Centre!
We’re delighted to be bringing back our much-loved Halloween event especially for our canine friends — Howl-O-Ween!
Howl-O-Ween Fancy Dog Dress Competition – 1pm Bring your pooch along dressed in their spookiest costume to enter our fancy dress competition, and join our Halloween Dog Parade! It’s always great fun, guaranteed to make everyone smile, and there’ll be a special doggie prize for the best dressed pup. Places are now fully booked, but you can still come along and watch all the fun without entering your pooch into the competition.
No booking or tickets are needed to come along to the stalls or watch the dog competition.
Doggie-Themed Stalls – From 10am We’ll also have a selection of dog-themed stalls for visitors to enjoy throughout the day, including local creators and makers:
Monstar Wear with a great range of hand-made dog coats and harnesses, Created by the Ridleys tweed collars and leads, Jen Mitchell Photography specialising in dog portraits, Alpha Barkery with their handmade dog biscuits, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf raising awareness of the valuable work they do, and Scribble & Patch with ceramic creations and the opportunity for you to get your dogs paw print (or child’s handprint) captures in a beautiful ceramic keepsake. You can book a place with Linsdey via her Facebook page. There may be limited places on the day too.
Trick for a Treat Can your dog do a paw shake, sit, spin or another clever trick? Ask your pooch to perform for one of our team members and they’ll receive a tasty little doggie treat!
Dog of the Month We’d love to see photos and videos of your spooky pups enjoying the Heritage Centre during Howl-O-Ween. Upload your pictures to our Facebook page using the hashtag #HowlOWeenOakAndIron for a chance to be featured as our Dog of the Month!
