Event Details

Help our native oak trees thrive by ‘halo’ thinning around the oaks to encourage their growth.

The entrance to the Wood is along a small track off the B6310, just before the first turning into Parklands on the south side of the road, heading away from Consett; on the day Peter will put a sign at the end of the track.

All tools, equipment and gloves will be provided as well as tea and coffee; please wear stout footwear and suitable clothing for outdoors and bring a packed lunch and a drink. You may wish to bring warm clothes and waterproofs, depending on the weather on the day.

Come along and learn new skills, make friends and have fun whilst carrying out a programme of practical woodland and access tasks.

To find the volunteers on the day, please call Peter on 07484 093411.
