Event Details

Join Land of Oak & Iron’s Woodland Volunteer Team as they work alongside volunteers from Tyne Rivers Trust in Priestfield Wood and learn how to coppice, a traditional woodland management technique.

All tools, equipment and gloves will be provided as well as tea and coffee; please wear stout footwear and suitable clothing for outdoors and bring a packed lunch and a drink. You may wish to bring waterproofs, depending on the weather on the day.

Come along and learn new skills, make friends and have fun whilst carrying out a programme of practical woodland and access tasks.

Parking is at Priestfield Stables, if you arrive after 10.30am please follow the signs into the wood and call Peter on his mobile to find the exact location.

For more information or to find the team if you arrive later in the day please contact Peter Downes on 07484 093411.
