Event Details

During the winter months, many trees have shed their leaves, so it can be difficult to identify what types of trees we can find locally.

In this online talk, we will be looking at the clues they have left behind, such as buds, twigs, bark, the whole form of the tree, and use these to identify some of the trees that can be found in the Land of Oak & Iron.

The Land of Oak & Iron covers a 177 km2 area surrounding the Derwent Valley including Consett, Rowlands Gill, Prudhoe and Whickham.

This event is part of the Geology & Wildlife Project delivered through the Land of Oak & Iron, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.

This event is free, however if you wish to make a donation to the Trust, you can do so by choosing the donation ticket option.
