A talk ‘William Shield and the age of Revolution: come the Revolution’ by John Treherne will put Shield’s work into perspective, examining the cultural life of this period. He will be joined by baroque flautist Jenny Edmond and soprano Lynne Bloxham and will perform on a recently restored square piano by Longman and Broderip of London, built in 1789.

There will be an introduction by Land of Oak & Iron and afternoon tea will be served after the talk.
