This year the Heritage Centre in Winlaton Mill celebrates its 5th Anniversary – how time flies by!

As part of our celebrations we will be joined by some great local musicians and singers to entertain you while enjoying refreshments and lunch from our café.

Whittonstall Community Band have performed here a number of times, including our recent Coronation Celebrations.

They are an all age/ability band, who rehearse weekly during school term time at the church in Whittonstall and play ten (or so) concerts through the year.  “We welcome new members at any time, all you need is an interest​ in playing music​ and having fun – we may be able to sort out a loan instrument for you.“

Join them for live performances outside in the Courtyard, with sessions being played between 10am and 12pm (subject to weather), followed by The Cloth Cap Temperance Band.

‘Scoops n Smiles’ will also be selling lots of lovely flavours of ice cream from their heritage ice cream van too! So lets hope for sunshine so we can eat ice-cream whilst enjoying an afternoon of local songs and tunes!

Big Games – we will have some of our big games out for you to play – fancy a game of Snakes & Ladders and Croquet or trying not to topple the Jenga blocks!

Our Café will have a great menu to choose from, including a couple of Anniversary specials to eat inside or out in our Courtyard.

No need to book, just turn up and enjoy the live music, food and fun games.

Please note our outdoor seating areas (including courtyard, benches and planters) are reserved for customers who have purchased drinks/food from our on site café. Please support us by not bringing your own refreshments – our meadow area or wider country park can be used if you’re bringing your own picnic.
