Event Details

Naturally Native aims to halt the decline and aid the recovery of our native water voles across the north east. Water voles have suffered a dramatic decline in numbers making them one of Britain’s fastest declining mammals. Throughout 2019 Durham Wildlife Trust will be aiming to gather as much evidence as possible on the location of water voles and American mink across the north east to help plan future conservation of the much loved water vole.

Find out how water voles have fared in the Land of Oak & Iron area and what the future holds for ‘Ratty’ in the Derwent Valley.

Booking essential.

If you are interested in getting involved with recording water vole signs please come along to find out more. If you can’t make this session but are still keen to get involved then please email Kirsty Pollard.
