Event Details

Our friends from The Woodland Trust will be outside the Heritage Centre on Sunday with lots of information about local woodlands and their work to care and protect them.
Please call by to say hello, find out more about the woodlands in your area and how to support the work of The Woodland Trust by becoming a member.

“The Woodland Trust is the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity. We are out there on the front line battling against climate change and creating havens for wildlife by planting millions of trees every year, campaigning for new laws to protect ancient woodland and restoring damaged ancient woods so they can breathe again.

We champion woods, trees and wildlife across the whole of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We have more than 500,000 members and supporters and own and care for 1,000 woods which are free for members of the public to visit and enjoy anytime. The trees we plant and protect lock up carbon, fight flooding, clean the air, stabilise the soil, cool our cities and provide vital homes for wildlife.

But we can’t achieve what we do on our own. We need your help too – and the best way of giving it is to become one of our loyal members.

From just £4 a month you can join our army and do your bit to solve the climate and nature crisis the world is in.

Our vision is a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife.

If you share that vision and want to see a greener, cleaner world, join us and be part of the fight.”
