Each year, The Big Lunch brings millions of people together across the UK on the first weekend in June.
This year is extra special as The Big Jubilee Lunch is part of the official celebrations for HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend – 2-5 June 2022!

Land of Oak & Iron are proud to be part of the nation’s celebrations this summertime – not only are we taking part in The Big Jubilee Lunch at the Heritage Centre in Winlaton Mill, we’re also one of the locations for the official Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacons which will be lit on Thursday 2nd June at 9.45pm (find out more on our separate event listing).

You can join us for The Big Jubilee Lunch at the Heritage Centre between 2nd – 5th June, our café will have a great menu to choose from to eat in or out, along with tasty picnic options and kid’s lunch boxes to enjoy. Please note our outdoor seating areas (including courtyard, benches and planters) are reserved for customers who have purchased drinks/food from our on site café. Our meadow area can be used if you’re bringing your own picnic.

We will also have a fun family-friendly Royal trail, kid’s crafts, biscuit decorating with ‘Royal’ icing, giant outdoor games, Scoops n Smiles traditional ice-cream and much more for you to enjoy!

No need to book, just turn up and enjoy the food, fun and friendship – the perfect opportunity to bring people together to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend!

We’re expecting to be busy for our evening Jubilee Beacon lighting event on 2nd June. We do have indoor and outdoor seating, but to ensure you have somewhere to sit, you might like to bring camping/picnic chairs as our seating may be taken up quickly.

Lucca Pizza and Scoops n Smiles will be here for our Jubilee Beacon evening event, providing freshly made pizzas and delicious dairy ice-cream. For the evening event, our café will also be open for sweet treats, hot drinks, soft drinks and alcohol (please note the kitchen will be closed).
