Event Details

* Looking for local volunteers of Shotley Low Quarter *

Work alongside local contractors at Shotley Grove to help smaller fish such as brown trout and grayling get up the river past three small weirs. The work will involve creating a small fish pass at each obstruction. You don’t need previous experience, just wellies or waders, clothing to suit the weather and a packed lunch. You can do as much or as little work as you wish.

Please note much of the work will be in the river itself and task days may be cancelled at short notice if conditions are not appropriate for in-river working.

Please contact Simone Price if you are interested in attending as spaces are limited: by email / 01434 636903. On the day please call Jenny on 07817 238455.

These activities are supported by The Kiln Pit Hill Fund via the Community Foundation.
