Event Details

This training is aimed at people living in the Derwent Valley and involves two full days of training which covers health and safety around using pesticides/herbicides and how to spray invasive species on land and near water. There is also an assessment about a week after the training which involves the candidate demonstrating how to spray correctly – this usually takes about 2 hours.

Once trained, you would be expected to help Tyne Rivers Trust spray Japanese knotweed in the Derwent Valley on an annual basis and it would be beneficial if you were prepared to travel to other areas within the Tyne catchment.

If you are interested please email Jenny Ellliott at Tyne Rivers Trust.
