Event Details

Join print artist and tutor Alison Diamond for this creative art workshop – an introduction to printmaking.

Printmaking is a very versatile art form and can range from simple stamp and monoprints to more intricate etching and collagraph printing.

For this workshop, Alison will show you how to create beautiful repeat patterned prints using stamps that you will create yourself.  The prints you make can be used as artworks or turned into cards – you will also take away the stamps you created so you can use them again at home.

This is a great way to have a go at something new and start your printmaking journey. No experience needed and all tools and equipment provided.

Tickets are £38 per person for 3 hour workshop and includes all materials and a tea/coffee and cake.

About the artist:
Alison’s work explores printmaking techniques such as etching, screen printing, relief print and monotype; the subject matter reflecting her upbringing in the North East.

“I have a passion for drawing, perspective, colour and pattern through the diversity of print media, enjoying challenges and the surprises each process provides along the way.  Employed by Sunderland University teaching Printmaking for Illustration, I also work as a freelance, within community settings, initiating projects using printmaking, mixed media, drawing and painting.”

Alison exhibits her work widely with Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and is a member of Northern Print Studios, The Hatton Gallery and Allendale Forge Artist Network.  Recently she had a solo exhibition at Allendale Forge Gallery and has been selected for Printfest2022 Ulverston 29th April this year.
