Land of Oak & Iron have hosted several successful Meet the Maker events this year and we are now looking for more artists, makers and crafts people to be part of Meet the Maker 2021.

We’re proud to be able to support local artists and makers in all that we do here at the Heritage Centre – including our Meet the Makers, workshop and walk leaders, art exhibitions, shop stock and even the ingredients used to produce our delicious café shrub menu.

If you are a local artist, maker or crafts person looking for an opportunity to promote your work and sell your creations – then our Meet the Maker events are ideal!

The Meet the Maker package includes a spotlight on you and your work through our website and social media events pages, along with a space in our shop for the 2 weeks before your solo 1 day event outside the Heritage Centre under cover of our marquee, where visitors can buy directly from you and find out more about your work and commissions.

Any sales made through our shop include a commission for the Heritage Centre, but all sales made at your Meet the Maker stall are commission free.

The Heritage Centre and all our events are fully risk assessed and Covid-19 compliant.

‘Meet the Maker’ will be outside under cover of the gazebo, social distancing will be in place for both the artist and our visitors.  We have enhanced cleaning regimes in place, sanitiser and hand gel is available at both entrances to the Heritage Centre and face coverings to be worn when entering the building to use toilets, shop area and café shrub for take-away.
