Event Details

This year the Heritage Centre in Winlaton Mill celebrates its 5th Anniversary – how time flies by!

Live Music – As part of our celebrations we will have live music in the Courtyard with Whittonstall Community Band in the morning and The Cloth Cap Temperance Band in the afternoon (see separate listings for more information).

‘Scoops n Smiles’ will also be selling lots of lovely flavours of ice cream from their heritage ice cream van too! So lets hope for sunshine so we can eat ice-cream whilst enjoying an day of local songs and tunes!

Stalls – We will have a few pop-up stalls from some of our regular local creatives – with David’s Dog Deli, Katherine Rodger’s Paintings and Craft & Chat Creatives, along with this fortnight’s Meet the Maker with Anne James Ceramics.

Big Games – we will have some of our big games out for you to play – fancy a game of Snakes & Ladders and Croquet or trying not to topple the Jenga blocks!

Our Café will have a great menu to choose from, including a couple of Anniversary specials to eat inside or out in our Courtyard.

Birthday Banner – The lovely ladies from our resident Derwent Threads Sewing Group have been busy creating a beautiful Birthday banner with a scrumptious selection of Birthday cakes! Look out for it hanging in one of our windows. (You may have seen their Jubilee and Coronation Banners).

No need to book, just turn up and enjoy the live music, food, stalls and fun games.

Please note our outdoor seating areas (including courtyard, benches and planters) are reserved for customers who have purchased drinks/food from our on site café. Please support us by not bringing your own refreshments – our meadow area or wider country park can be used if you’re bringing your own picnic.
