Event Details

Join Rachel Richards, our Wilderness Ranger, to take a look at which plants and trees are coming into flower in March, in the Land of Oak & Iron.

We will be discussing a variety of wild flowering plants, and exploring which family they belong to, how you tell them apart from any similar species, and what to look out for in the next month or so as the leaves and buds of more species start to appear.

The Land of Oak & Iron covers a 177 km2 area surrounding the Derwent Valley including Consett, Rowlands Gill, Prudhoe and Whickham.

This event is part of the Geology & Wildlife Project delivered through the Land of Oak & Iron, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.

This event is free, however if you wish to make a donation to the Trust, you can do so by choosing the donation ticket option.
