Event Details

Situated in the Lower Derwent Valley this section of the Land of Oak and Iron is a mixed landscape of woodland, meadows, riverside and historic monuments.

Join local ornithologist Michael Turner on an engaging walk through this beautiful landscape and learn how to identify birds by the sounds they make.

How often have you heard a bird singing or calling and wondered what species it was but can’t see it, making identification more difficult?
Michael will help you to tune into the various bird calls and songs and show you how to recognise which species they are.

Limited places available.

Tickets £9.50 per person. Booking essential, please see link below.

The walk will be on regular pathways with some slight gradients. Please bring binoculars if you have them and dress appropriately with stout footwear, waterproofs may be necessary depending on the weather. Sorry, no dogs please.
