Event Details

Stop unwelcome intruders and protect our wetland habitat. Himalayan balsam is a non-native invasive species that can take over unless we do something to stop it. Join the Tyne Rivers Trust volunteers as they tackle this unwelcome outsider along the banks of the River Derwent at Ebchester.

Meet in the lay by at the bottom of Chare Bank near the boathouse, please car share if possible as parking space is limited.

Please wear suitable clothing for working in undergrowth, long sleeves and trousers are advisable. Bring a packed lunch and a drink, gloves will be provided.

Please contact Jenny if you would like to go along to ensure she has enough equipment for everyone.
