Please note the date of this event is Saturday 26th August 10am – 4.30pm
Land of Oak & Iron is the perfect place to take your 4 legged friends for a walk – our Heritage Centre is dog friendly and we even have a doggie treat menu too!
To celebrate our 4 legged visitor friends, we are organising an event especially for them (and their human folk) with this year’s Bark in the Park! It was a great success last year so we’re doing it all again!
Join us in and around the Courtyard for dog themed stalls and a fun dog show with different categories such dog with the waggiest tail, dog most like their owner, favourite rescue dog, best in show and lots more! The dog show starts at 1pm.
BOOK YOUR PLACE IN THE DOG SHOW HERE. Limited places available in each category.
We will also have some doggie themed stalls, including delicious treats from David’s Dog Deli, information and fun things to do with Bryson’s Animal Rescue and The Dogs Trust (who will be running some fun dog activities), dog paw prints and ceramics with Scribble & Patch, beautiful mini paintings and pet portraits with Curiosity Frees, range of pet accessorises with Piccadilly Pooches, hand-made harnesses, leads and more with Paws by Coco, a great range of dog bandanas with One Bark Avenue and pet artist Tanya Khailova.
Scribble & Patch will be taking bookings for your dog to get their paw print in clay – click here to find out more and book your paw print appointment.
It promises to be a very dog friendly and sociable event – we can’t wait to see you! (We ask that dogs are kept on their leads in and around the Heritage Centre).
Our café will be open for lunch and refreshments, including our dog treat menu (polite notice all our seating areas are for café customers, including benches and planters – we have a lovely meadow area next to the Heritage Centre should you wish to bring a picnic).
