Event Details

Land of Oak & Iron is the perfect place to take your 4 legged friends for a walk – our Heritage Centre is dog friendly and we even have a doggie treat menu too!
 
Join us for a free, fun dog walk as part of our ‘HOWL-O-WEEN’ event.
 
Heather will lead you and your pooch on a walk from the Heritage Centre through the beautiful lower Derwent Valley and back to the Heritage Centre again. 
Why not come with your dog in fancy dress for the walk and take part in our Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade at 3pm (see booking details on the separate listing).
 
Heather is our friendly local dog warden and while out on the walk she can tell you all sorts of interesting things – such as … did you know different coloured leads have different meanings? Heather can also give advice about dog socialisation and will try to answer any questions you may have about dog walking in the area.
 
Spaces are limited and all dogs must be kept on a lead for this walk, please book a free ticket here to guarantee your place (there may be a few places available on the day).
