Celebrating 20 years of White River Brass’ association with Consett, this concert features premieres of specially commissioned new works by renowned composers Sandy Smith and Philip Wilby. Taking it’s theme as “Music From The North East” the programme will include an arrangement of traditional folk tunes and a new duet written specially for White River Brass.

During the day, members of White River Brass will be working with Consett Junior School brass band, Consett Salvation Army Band and Consett Band, delivering a programme of tuition, rehearsals and workshops. The evening performances will celebrate the achievements of this collaboration and showcase the talents of our local brass players alongside the virtuosity of special guests White River Brass.

The project is organised by Consett Brass with support from Durham County Council (Culture & Sport service).
