Watling Wood through the seasons
Explore Watling Wood in Leadgate this week and discover photos hanging in the trees showing how it has changed from winter through to summer. Local photographer and film maker Simon Green, from Consett has been visiting the woodland and capturing the changing seasons since last October. His images, films and interviews with local people tell the story of this fantastic natural habitat. He even has a birds eye view of the wood and an old photo showing how the site has changed since it was planted in 1995.
The photos are hanging in the wood until Sunday when they will move to Leadgate’s Big Bash 2019 – Sunday!!!
Read Simon’s blog, see the images and watch the films and interviews here.
It’s definitely worth a visit, even if you can’t get there this week.
