Life Stories Training in Gateshead

AB170109 Oral history training posterWe are still looking for people who would like to take part in some free oral history training, in return they will be asked to help at one of the first workshops recording other people’s memories. The training is over two days, 12th and 26th January (both days must be attended) and will be held at Gateshead Older Peoples Assembly on Splitcrow Road. Booking is essential for this training, please contact Andrea Baxter by email or phone 0191 5672550 to secure your place.

The first four workshops will be in February across Gateshead, the venues are still to be agreed; community centres and groups are being asked to suggest places where they could be held, perhaps after an existing activity or meeting such as a lunch club or heritage group meeting. There is a small budget which can be used to cover any additional costs such as room hire and refreshments.

The project is beginning in the Gateshead area, as part of a
Gateshead wide Life Stories project funded through the Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group.

To get involved in this project please contact Joanne Norman at Groundwork NE & Cumbria by email or phone on 01207 524803.
