Go wild for wildlife
Learn about some of our winged creatures, hear what conservationists are doing about dormice in the Derwent Valley or take a walk on the wild side with our very own Wildlife Group.
Activities begin again in February with an indoor talk from a Butterfly Conservation Trust expert about the more common and rare species you might see in Land of Oak & Iron. In March find out what is being done to conserve and survey for the rare and iconic dormouse at another indoor talk.
As the weather warms, we offer an opportunity to get outside on a dusk and dawn walk, seeking out the birds and animals we often don’t see during the daytime.
Activities are held monthly, keep an eye on our Wildlife Group page to find out more.
