Be a part of Chopwell WoodFest

Want to get involved with one of the most successful festivals in the Land of Oak & Iron? We are looking for volunteers for Chopwell WoodFest in July to help bring to life 500 years of authentic history, heroes and habitats and rekindle local passion for the area.

Chopwell WoodFest Volunteering opportunities for allThe popular festival aims to bring the heritage of the area to life, where visitors can make a willow hurdle, have a go on a pole lathe, turn their hand to pottery, and learn about wool spinning or felting. This year it will take place on Sunday 8 July at Chopwell Wood, a 360-hectare mixed woodland in the heart of the north east.

As well as being a valued volunteer, people donating their time will receive refreshments as well as the opportunity to enjoy the festival and some of the activities themselves.
