Take a ride on the iconic Go North East red kite bus, as it travels up the valley, stopping at several key heritage sights along the way for a tour with local experts.

The tour will begin from the car park at Blaydon Tennis Club, stopping at Derwentcote steel furnace to see inside this well restored heritage structure, before continuing up to Consett for a visit to the Lodge Heritage Centre in Blackhill & Consett Park.  On the return journey there will be a stop to see Whinfield coke ovens.

This tour has been organised in partnership with Friends of Red Kites and Go North East, who have kindly donated the bus and driver.
