This 3.3 mile (5.3 km) guided walk will take in the beautiful Chopwell Wood, dropping down to walk along the bank of the River Derwent, before climbing back up the hill. We will see stunning views of the Derwent Valley from the ‘Bird of Prey’ viewpoint where you might glimpse a red kite.

This is a difficult walk, with steep climbs and may be muddy, please wear suitable footwear and clothes for the weather.  You may wish to bring a drink and a snack. This walk is suitable for families with older children.

Please meet in the main car park, a few minutes before the start of the walk.
