Discover one of Land of Oak & Iron’s historical heroes at an event packed full of music and poetry. Tommy Armstrong was born in Shotley Bridge, he was a County Durham concert hall song writer and performer in the late 19th century and is affectionately known as ‘The Pitman Poet’.

With performances from Jude Murphy, Bethany Ellen Coyle,John Dixon & Kiddars Luck, Bill Elliott, Alan Crawford, Keith Davidson (“Wor Nanny’s a Maisor” fame) and a special appearance by Gary Miller formerly of the Whisky Priests.

This is a free event.
